Summary: DataSafeTax.com is a custom web site and application built in PHP that connects tax advisors with their clients and allows the client and their advisor to share files. Upon the completion of any task that an advisor would normally charge for, the price is associated with final document supplied by the advisor and the client purchases the document to view it. All the file locations are encrypted and the payments are automatically processed using a secure payment gateway. This project was a collaboration with the creative talent at Jones Creative.

Summary: One of the first projects I completed for Edge Media & Site Organic in 2008 was this Flash portfolio viewer. We ended up using it to showcase our new express theme packages. Written in Actionscript 2.0 and loading content dynamically via XML, this project also features interactive sorting and fully dynamic menus on the left. Designed by the talent at Edge Media.

I used the MooTools Javascript framework to fade elements and make use of the powerful accordion widget to display data dynamically. Design provided by client.

Summary: Here we have a flash projector running on kiosk at ETSU. This project was completed for the Center for Appalachian Studies. All content is copyrighted but I do have a distributable demo you can download. It was built to run at large resolution so there are no performance guarantees for any machine, but it runs great on the kiosk hardware. It features interactive page turning for a scrapbook style presentation of various videos, images, and audio. Worth the download or a trip to the Reece Museum to see!

Summary: I designed and built this site with Flash and a couple PHP extensions for the gallery. Noteworthy items in this include the gallery system which loads images dynamically from an XML formatted PHP output and determines the available screen area, photo size, photo aspect, and "safe area" for navigation items and then scales the image proportionally and centers it. The images will always take up the maximum allowable screen size. This code runs on the fly incase the user resizes the browser while viewing an image. Give it a try :)

Summary: Yasmin is a photographer in the UK and needed a distinctive site built with some specific needs; one of those being a page turning gallery. Marcus Ledbetter designed the layout and I brought it to life with Flash. This site features a fully dynamic intro animated by actionscript and a dynamic page turning library. By building out the components in actionscript I was able to leverage the power of dynamic content allowing this flash website to be updated by the client by simply uploading new images to specific directories. No databases are used, but rather PHP extensions to read files directly out of the directories.

Summary: SOTE is a Christian clothing company based out of Nashville, TN. With limited products offered, we took a normal e-commerce site and transformed it into a trendy boutique style flash site. All the products and product information are stored in a database which is easily updateable. The client already used Paypal for a shopping cart so we simply merged our solution with the existing setup. Designed by Marcus Ledbetter and built out in Flash, PHP, and MySQL by me.

Summary: I did this over a weekend as a test of the Facebook API when it was first released. The user can install a flash object on their facebook profile that, when clicked, displays the verse of the day from Biblegateway.com Users can choose to keep a verse on their profile as a favorite which replaces the flash object with the text of the verse. Users can also choose between available translations for the verse that is displayed.

Summary: This is a very simple and effective portfolio site for my friend Sara. She gave me her favorite color scheme and I put together the design elements in Flash. This solution features a simplistic layout to make the content, her videos, front and center while leveraging Flash's scriptable animation power to present the content through smooth transitions with automated actions.

Summary: Orginally designed by Robert Bagget, this site features many elements directly influenced by the client. A large banner that presents a random image and associated text, flash "widgets" to present information and videos, and a PHP contact form highlight some of the scripting work I completed on the project. I was also responsible for the site build out from PSD layout to working XHTML / CSS.

Summary: Snyder Signs is a local company with a big name. They approached us with an outdated design that showed age in its color scheme and build style. Marcus Ledbetter initially redesigned the site to feature six modules on the front page, but the site layout was later altered by me to better present the content as the clients wished. This site features a Flash widget on the front page to display a random image slideshow. The clients had several hundred sample images in several categories which gave me the opportunity to offer a unique display solution. I presented the current page display configuration, which is using PHP to pick 9 images at random from the respective category repository.

Summary: For HVC I designed and built a simple site to provide a refreshed, elegant style for their web presence. There wasn't much information they wished to convey on their website so this site went from layout to live in a couple hours.

Client: Orth Homes

Summary: With an existing database of homes, home styles, and developments, Orth Homes was redesigned to present the information in an effective, easy to navigate structure. With the basic layout designed by Marcus Ledbetter, I converted the layouts to XHTML / CSS and began coding the data oriented pages in PHP. This site is a mashup of a custom Google map component, several PHP pages, Javascript animation effects, and simple XHTML / CSS to deliver the user experience the client wanted.

Summary: My company was approached to migrate this site from a static XHTML / CSS layout to a content management system. I converted the existing CSS to the CMS's template and rebuilt the menu structure and populated the site with content. The existing solution is a great looking site with a powerful CMS the client can use to edit virtually any element on the site. A great example of a CMS integration.
